Empowering Women Entrepreneurs With Design Since 2024
through brand and website design we help women stop shrinking themselves to fit into an “aesthetic” to be seen professional
Hey I’m Tanya, your new design hype woman!
When I first started my design journey, I remember always feeling like I had to tone myself down to be professional and get clients who trust my skills. I knew I was good at what I did, but I felt like I couldn’t show up as myself and be taken seriously because I didn’t fit into a certain aesthetic that was said to be “professional”.
So what did I do? I didn’t show up and held myself back. I put my design business on hold for years (even though design is my biggest passion), all because I wasn’t confident with my branding since I felt like I didn’t look “professional” enough.
Fast forward to now, I can show up authentically as myself, embrace my femininity (which is always seen as unprofessional for some reason) and STILL get clients that value my skills and respect my professionalism. All because I made branding that complements my personality, femininity, and professionalism all in one, creating my own “aesthetic” that’s professional, instead of shrinking myself into a tiny pre-made aesthetic that’s “professional.”
And I want to do this for all my fellow women entrepreneurs, too, BECAUSE MY GOSH, DO WE DESERVE TO FEEL CONFIDENT IN OURSELVES!
So why is confidence in branding soooo important to me for women entrepreneurs?
Let’s be real here. We, women, get the short end of the stick for everything, ESPECIALLY when it comes to business.
We get looked at and immediately get told we aren’t professional just because we’re women. We get asked;
“Oh, so this is like a hobby of yours?”
“But doesn’t your husband/partner have a good-paying job?”
“A business? But you’re so nice, you would be such a good nurse?”
And those stupid questions and comments start to eat away at you over time, making you feel like you aren’t good enough, worthy, or capable of running a successful AF business - trust me, I’ve been there 100%, and it SUCKS.
